Timber Ridge Elementary School is a one-story facility created as a prototype for Killeen ISD. The school includes friendly spaces that engage students, such as activity rooms, computer labs, and a parent liaison room, as well as rooms for speech, art and music.
For security purposes, visitors are made to pass through the reception area before access is allowed into the main corridor. The classroom wings converge into the spacious central corridor, which provides access to all of the common areas, including the library, cafetorium and activity room.
Each grade level is contained in its own separate wing, with administration area easily accessible at the center of the facility. The cafetorium will seat 400 students at tables, and without tables seats 700 people in front of the raised platform provided for performances.

The design for the elementary building was the smartest campus design for elementary instruction that I have ever seen.
